Grape Variety

Pinot Noir

Soil Type

Of volcanic origins rich in potassium, phosphorous and other micro elements. Though well draining, this type of soil retains sufficient moisture to sustain the vine even in times of drought. The high concentration of minerals in the soil favours the production of top quality fruit.

This poetic Pinot Noir comes from only 1 out of 10 hectares of the vineyard. A gem, a very exclusive product. As it is written in its name: a rare poem – this is the meaning of “poesia”.

Carefully and fondly hand – harvested at the end of August – beginning of September, the grape juice is left in contact with the skins for about 24 hours. Then, it is fermented in stainless steel tanks for 10 days at the 15/18 °C controlled temperature.

Tasting Notes

As soon as you pour these “poetic verses” into your wine glass you will be caught by the brightness and clearness of this clear rosè. It shines gently into your glass. On the nose at the beginning it is shy, a little closed but then floreal and fresh fruity flavors come out slowly. Fresh strawberry and cherish along with a subtle hint of rose on the entry make then room for a significant minerality. There is, infact, a nice and pleasurable correspondence between some flavors on the nose and the palate. In the mouth it is a smooth, fresh and fragrant “poem” with a crisp and dry finish.

So enjoy these refreshing “poetic verses” on a bright sunny day all by themselves or perfectly paired with succulent shellfish.
